China is the biggest country in Asia. Central Asia has the most dangerous desert, the Tamalakan desert. It’s geography and legends fascinate your attention. What makes it different from other deserts? Why it helped Chinese history and why is it important. Oh believe it or not it has wild life. Be hold the amazing desert that has been walked on before.
The Tamalakan desert has wonderful geography. It is made up with sand. Everything: no rocks or pebbles, just sand .It has many sand storms. The wind blows the sand in different directions, so you see big hills. The temperature is burning hot. There is no rain even though it is winter for us! Imagine traveling and getting trapped there it must be horror. Though it is amazing.
This desert has a legend. A legend that sounds interesting but a little scary too. There are 300 cities and 2 armies in the Taklamakan desert. Now they found 100 year old mummies. No wonder this legend is told the name means “once you go in you will never come out!’’ Even though the legends sound scary this desert actually made it hard for China. They had to cross it and some how do trading. In order to cross the Silk Road.
What makes this desert so different from the other deserts is that the Taklamakan Desert isn’t as long as you think. It is only 105,000 squares long. All deserts have sand. This one just has sand. It is hard to believe if anything grows there or if anything lives there. Wait there is wild life.
This is something I couldn’t believe it has wild life. Yes it certainly does. Camels, llamas, beetles and lizards. A traveler has walked on the desert before. He saw all of the animals. Well to tell the truth the camels don’t live there they live nearby with the villages. It must be really hard since it is hot and there are beetles.
The Taklamakan Desert is dangerous and amazing. The geography, legend, differences and wild life. It did give a hard to the people of China and the people that live near it though it can be walked on but it takes a lot to survive.
